I want you to be
amazed by your dogs unlimited learning potential and positive attitude!
Whether you’re a proud parent of a new puppy or a somewhat frustrated parent
of a not so well behaved dog, I hope you will get started on the path to
building a more positive relationship through training. Most dogs don’t come
into this world understanding how to function in human society as we would
like them to, they need our guidance so they (and we) can have full lives
that include as much freedom, fun and companionship as possible.
Well socialized/educated dogs are often:
-
Free to
stay inside the house and outside a crate when you are gone
-
Allowed to run through parks and beaches unleashed
-
Allowed to attend your friends gatherings with you
-
Allowed to have a meal or coffee with you at an outdoor café
-
Provided more walks because they are a joy to walk with on leash
-
Provided more play because they understand the rules of the game

Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), founded in 1993 by Dr. Ian
Dunbar, is a professional organization of individual trainers committed to
better training through education. An important part of the APDT mission is
to advocate gentle, humane, "dog- friendly" methods of training. Methods
used for training work on all breeds and
all types of dogs, primarily because they are well grounded in the science
of how animals learn.
Cynthia
has an excellent working relationship with local veterinarians and has had
several articles
on dog behavior and training published in the
San Lorenzo Valley 'Press Banner'. She lives on a little 'Ranchetta'
in S. Watsonville along with Tyche (pictured above), George (Miniature
Donkey), a few horses and whole lot of lizards.
Public classes run year around in
Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley and Watsonville.
Private lessons and consults are available in Santa Cruz and Monterey
Counties. And, she's recently added a
Board & Train program.
